CFAO Mobility Ghana PLC has moved to dissociate itself from the ongoing impoundment of vehicles at the Tema Harbour, following concerns raised by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).

In a press release, the company acknowledged the DVLA’s position that preliminary investigations suggest some of the affected vehicles were imported by CFAO. However, it attributed the discrepancies identified to an external agent engaged in the vehicle clearance process, who is alleged to have used unauthorised methods.

CFAO Mobility Ghana stated that it operates with high standards of compliance, transparency, and ethical conduct, stressing that it has consistently adhered to all regulatory requirements governing vehicle importation, clearance, and registration in Ghana.

The company maintained that it does not condone or engage in fraudulent or non-compliant activities, adding that its internal systems and partnerships are structured to ensure integrity across its operations.

It further indicated that it is treating the issue with urgency and will cooperate fully with the DVLA and other relevant authorities to establish the facts.

CFAO Mobility Ghana also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the trust of its customers, partners, and regulators, noting that further updates will be provided as investigations continue.
